Why can't my Mac open .rar or .7z files?
The built-in macOS Archive Utility only handles .zip. Opening .rar or .7z normally needs a paid or installed app. Reamly opens them in your browser and gives you a .zip you can open natively, no app to install.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The archive is extracted entirely in your browser with WebAssembly, your files never leave your device. (Only the extractor code is downloaded.)
Which formats are supported?
RAR, 7z, tar, tar.gz/.tgz, tar.bz2, tar.xz, gz, bz2, xz, zip and more.
Can it open password-protected archives?
Not yet, encrypted RAR/7z archives are not supported in this version.
