Questions & answers

Good to know

Common questions about size, privacy, and cost.

How do I watermark a batch of photos?

Add all the photos, type your watermark text, choose a position (a corner, center, or tiled across the whole image), then click Apply. Every photo is watermarked at once, entirely in your browser, nothing uploaded.

Does macOS have a batch watermark feature?

No, neither Finder nor Preview can batch-watermark images; you would need a paid app or an Automator script. This tool does it for any number of photos, free and locally.

What does "tiled" do?

Tiled repeats your text diagonally across the whole image, which is the hardest to crop out, good for proofs, drafts and protecting work you share online.

Can I control how visible it is?

Yes, adjust the size (as a percentage of the image), the opacity, and white vs. black text with a subtle contrasting shadow so it stays legible on any background.

Will it lower my image quality?

Only the watermark pixels change. Choose PNG output for a lossless result, or JPG (quality 92) for a smaller file.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Watermarking happens entirely in your browser with the canvas API, nothing is sent to a server.

Does it cost anything?

No, it is completely free, no signup.
